Change Toolkit Organisation Workstream Overview

Purpose

The demand of change can impact the Organisation at two levels:

  • Changes to the Organisation structure
  • Changes to jobs within the Organisation structure.

Typical changes are:

Organisation Structure

  • Reassignment of responsibilities within the Organisation structure.
  • Outsourcing functions or responsibilities from the Organisation Structure.
  • Completely redefining functional responsibilities of the Organisation structure.

Jobs

  • Minor amendments to people's job.
  • Replacing key personnel within jobs.
  • Removing jobs.
  • Creating new jobs.

Any changes to the Organisation structure usually result in changes to jobs within the structure.

Change Management

Change Management will set change targets. These targets may require the Organisation Design team to review policies such as:

  • Training and skilling
  • Recruitment
  • Various types of leave
  • External learning, etc.

Organisation Design need to work with Change Management to ensure the policies of the organisation promote the change behaviours.
